Dog Friendly Things To Do In Cape San Blas, FL
Gulf County and Cape San Blas, FL loves pets and allows dogs on all the beaches! The only exception is in state parks which includes St. Joseph Peninsula State Park at the end of the cape. While dogs are welcome, everyone needs to do their part to make sure all pups and people have a good time by following these simple rules:
- Dogs must be on leash at all times. While your dog may be awesome and under voice control remember, the other dogs around you may not be and this causes problems. Also be aware that while we love dogs… not everyone else does and it’s their vacation too so be kind! Oh… and it’s the law 😉
- Clean up after your dog! It just takes a little time to pick up the poo. No one likes walking down the wonderful white sands of the beach only to step in dog poo. I know… you’re thinking, “but it’s natural, what’s the big deal?” again… you don’t want to step in it and neither do others. Also don’t try to just bury it… Kids love to dig in the sand too you know!
- Be patient. People and other dogs may be scared of your pup. It’s OK, be cool!
Now that you know the rules and that you and your dog can have a great time on the beach at Cape San Blas… Here’s some other things to do:
